Life is like a box of chocolates....you never know what you're going to get.

Sometimes life isn't exactly what you imagined it to be. For the most part, you go through life looking back at what fun times you had and having nothing to look forward to. However there is that 2 week period where everything seems perfect. Finally life has brought an equilibrium. Then its gone.

In high school you spend countless hours thinking about how wonderful life would be if: you were in college, had a boyfriend, was the one who everyone called to hang out with, were 10 pounds lighter, had browner skin, wore the cutest clothes, got straight A's, made the varsity team of your sport, won the contest, could some how let people know how cool you really are.

Then college comes....nothing changes. Life would be wonderful if: your apartment was the one where everyone wanted to hang out in, got straight A's, could find that person who is supposed to complete you, did the funnest and craziest thing last night, could always be on top of your homework, find a good job, be the one that everyone wanted to hang out with.

But here we are....
We've come to the point in our lives that we've dreamed to be in and it isn't so "wonderful."
There are great parts like not living at home, staying up late, and being in charge of your future, however....when we look back...we think how wonderful and simple high school really was.

My brother once told me that everyone has stayed home on a friday night and done nothing. Just because you're staying at home not out with friends doesn't mean that you're a looser. Everyone does. Those times just aren't talked about.

So life goes on. I guess we have a choice. We can sit in our apartments thinking about all of the things that aren't working out for us....or we do something about it and don't look back. No regrets, no looking back.
